Uploads are currently limited depending on how you are using ArDrive or which version of ArDrive you are using. We are always working to raise these limits and will update this page accordingly.
Upload Size Limits
Direct-to-network uploads are paid with AR tokens, and are submitted directly to the Arweave network via an ar.io gateway.
Turbo uploads are paid with Credits, and are submitted to the ArDrive Turbo service.
The limits posted below are for ArDrive version 2.22.0 and above and apply to both public and private files.
Platform | Direct-to-Network (AR) | Turbo (Credits) |

* Direct-to-network uploads have no theoretical limits, however, we have tested files up to 10 GiB.

What is a GiB?
A gibibyte and a gigabyte are sometimes used synonymously, though technically they are not the same amount of storage. They are very close in size, however.
One gibibyte equals 1.074 gigabytes.
One gibibyte is equal to 2^30 or 1,073,741,824 bytes.
One gigabyte is equal to 10^9 or 1,000,000,000 bytes.
