Credits, Payments, and Receipts

What is a Credit?

• Credits represent a 1:1 value with the AR token and can be used to upload data to ArDrive.

Can I view my Credits balance on Viewblock or ArConnect?

• Credits are specific to ArDrive and can only be viewed and used in ArDrive apps. 

Which currencies can I pay in? 

• USD with additional currencies being added soon.

Can I get a copy of my receipt?

• All receipts are provided by Stripe and are sent to those that provide their email during check out.

Can I use Turbo in the Mobile App?

• Uploading data through the mobile app with Turbo is possible if you have purchased Credits from the Top Up page. Credits are unavailable for purchase through the mobile app.

Can I pay with any credit or debt card?

• We accept all major credit and debit cards. Purchase restrictions may be implemented by your card provider or country of origin.

Do the value of Credits ever change?

• Credits have the same storage purchasing power as AR.

Do you keep my credit card info?

• No. ArDrive keeps a record of your public wallet address, the amount purchased and used Credits when purchases occur. All credit card purchases are processed by Stripe, learn more about their policies here.

Can I use Credits elsewhere on the permaweb?

• Credits can be used with any apps on Arweave that accept Turbo.

Refunds, Transfer, & Exchanges

Can I get a refund for my Credit purchase?

• All sales of Credits are final. When a Credits are purchased, ArDrive holds that balance of AR to cover the cost of data uploaded.

Do Credits expire?

• Your Credits may expire after 3 years from the date of purchase.

Can I transfer Credits to another wallet?

• No, Credits are non-transferable.

Can I buy Credits as a gift?

• Gifting Credits is not currently possible, this feature will be added in the future.

Can I exchange my Credits for AR?

• No, ArDrive is not a crypto exchange and Credits cannot be returned or exchanged. 

Do I get my Credits back if my Turbo upload fails? 

• You will not be charged for any failed uploads. If you believe you have been charged please contact the ArDrive team.

Can I use Turbo in my own app? 

• Yes - take advantage of the Turbo-SDK 

Is Turbo Available in ArDrive-CLI? 

• Turbo is in Beta available in the CLI.
