Create a Snapshot

Snapshots are rollups of your Drive - it makes syncing your Drive in future sessions much faster.

QuickSync a roll up of your Drive's ArFS metadata into a single snapshot, meaning much faster syncing times for your Drive across your devices.

This feature greatly improves the experience of power users with large Drives, all thanks to the ArFS protocol. Snapshots can be created for both your public & private Drives and decreases the sync time needed when you share/attach Drives with snapshots.

1. Select the Drive you want to create a snap shot for, hit the New button, and select Create Snapshot.
   
2. Select proceed.
   
3. ArDrive determines the size & cost of uploading the Snapshot, click upload to proceed.
4. Your Snapshot is created & the next time you login, you'll notice improvement on the time needed to sync your devices across ArDrive apps.
